Early this year I was at Vista Alegre, a 200-year-old porcelain factory, but this postcard was sent by Paula from the most recent Postcrossing meeting.

Aveiro
This year I was in Aveiro with my family. We visited the Monastery of Jesus, ate the traditional sweets ovos moles and I only bought one postcard, because it was all very expensive and very similar and I already have a few. But I'm glad I bought it, because in the restaurant where we had lunch I met Mário Laginha who kindly signed the postcard for me!

Santa Maria da Feira Castle
I went to Santa Maria da Feira with my wife to see the castle and to taste the "fogaça", a typical sweet bread of the region. We loved the castle. Is one of my favourites in Portugal. We loved the sweet bread. The only bad thing is that I couldn't find any postcards. Later I found this one in Vila Nova de Gaia
Buçaco
Martinha also visited Buçaco and I asked her if she could find me a postcard with something else that not the palace. Kindly, as always, she sent me this one
Buçaco Palace Hotel
I was two times in Buçaco but never stayed in the hotel. The hotel used to be a royal palace, built where it used to be a convent. It is surrounded by an amazing forest.

Aveiro - Church of Nossa Senhora da Apresentação / da Vera Cruz
Even though I've been several time in Aveiro, I've never seen this church and I'm always happy and I receive postcards of monuments that I don't know. This was sent by Inês Barbosa
Aveiro Train Station
The old train station of Aveiro is one of the many buildings in Portugal decorated with beautiful blue tiles

Aveiro
It was in Aveiro that my wife and I met for the first time another postcrosser. We spent a wonderful day with Martinha not only in Aveiro but also in Costa Nova and I sent this postcard to myself to mark that moment
Ria de Aveiro
Ria de Aveiro is basically the mouth of the Vouga river but it means literally laugh at Aveiro, so everytime I go to Aveiro and see the sign "Ria de Aveiro" I start laughing. A bad joke, I know
