Bulle Market

I've never been to Bulle. A cheese shop in Crans-Montana was giving these postcards.

Swiss National Park

I've never been to Swiss National Park either

Beverin Nature Park

I've never been near this park, but I loved the postcard

Pointe de Zinal, Dent Blanche and Grand Cornier

I crossed a few times the Pennine Alps to the Italian side

Trient Glacier

I lived surrounded by mountains, but most of them I never knew the names

Matterhorn

The most serious fault of my stay in Switzerland was never having seen the Matterhorn!

Landwasser Viaduct

The Landwasser Viaduct is probably the most recognizable landmark of the Albula / Bernina landscape

Albula / Bernina

One thing I didn't do and I would have loved to do was a ride on one of these trains on the Albula / Bernina railway

Lausanne Cathedral

I didn't like that much of the city, however Lausanne has a cultural offer much bigger than the place where I used to live. And it was in Lausanne that I see a concert of Machine Head

Lausanne Cathedral

We were once in Lausanne to visit the city, but I didn't like that much. The cathedral is beautiful but I was disappointed with all the rest. Maybe we didn't choose the best time of the year.

Bern Cathedral

I would have loved to go to the top of the cathedral tower, but at the time it was not possible for me

Bern Cathedral

We only saw the cathedral from the outside and I bought the postcards on its souvenir shop

Bern - Marksman Fountain and the Zytglogge

And so in 2013 we visited the old city of Bern. I loved all those fountains and the tower clock

Bern - Zähringer Fountain and the Zytglogge

When we decided to move to Switzerland, Bern became my number one priority place to visit

St. Pierre Cathedral - Geneva

The last time we where in Geneva, we stayed there for a whole weekend, courtesy of my wife's boss

St. Pierre Cathedral - Geneva

The cathedral of Geneva is very beautiful and they sell postcards inside!

Geneva Old Town and St. Pierre Cathedral

What I liked most in Geneva was the old town and its cathedral

Jet d'Eau - Geneva

We were a few times by the lake Geneva where the jet is

Jet d'Eau - Geneva

The water is jetted to an altitude of 140 metres

Jet d'Eau - Geneva

The water jet is one of the most famous landmarks of Geneva

Geneva

This postcard was given to me by my father-in-law

Wild Goats in the Alps

I never saw the wild goats, but I woke up several times above the clouds, with a view similar to this

Alpine Ibex

I was lucky to see many wild animals on the mountain, like deer, squirrels, foxes or badgers but I never saw a wild goat

Marmot

The marmot is the mascot of Crans-Montana but I never saw any in the wild

Aigle Castle

Today the castle is home to Musée de la Vigne et du Vin (Vine and wine museum).

Aigle Castle

The Aigle castle is also visible from the highway. One day we paid a visit.

Martigny - Le Pont and La Bâtiaz Castle

I saw the tower of La Bâtiaz Castle from the highway several times but I've only been in Martigny two or three times

Anzère

Anzère is a small village not far from where I used to live. I was there twice.

Sierre Vineyards

I worked a week harvesting in Sierre and had the chance to taste the wine. Very good!

Mercier Castle - Sierre

The Mercier Castle is one of the first things you see when you descend from Crans-Montana

Villa Castle - Sierre

The Villa Castle is one of the main sights of Sierre

Sierre

Sierre is the capital of the district where we lived. We used to go there very often, to shop, to dine, to take the train...

Valère Organ - Sion

On an opposite hill there's the Valère Basilica where it is one of the oldest functioning organs in the world

Tourbillon Castle - Sion

Tourbillon Castle is one of the attractions of Sion and it is located on the top of a hill

Sion

Sion is the capital of the canton where we lived and we used to go there quite often.

Lavaux Vineyards

This was the last postcard that I bought from Lavaux. I bought it in 2019, year of Winegrowers' Festival in Vevey. This festival takes place five times every hundred years

Châtelard Castle

The Lavaux region goes from Montreux to Lausanne and it is near Montreux that we can find this castle

Épesses - The Vineyards

It is said that the quality of the wine of Lavaux comes from three suns: the sun itself, the reflection of the sun in the lake and stone walls warmed by the sun

Rivaz

I bought this postcard in the Lavaux gas station, where I also bought many postcards to swap

Rivaz Vineyeards

I never get to try the wine of the Lavaux. It is extremely expensive!

St-Saphorin - The Vineyards and the Lake

A lot of my postcards of the Lavaux region are very look alike, but I just couldn't resist them. I love them all!

St-Saphorin

I think I only saw the vineyards with this amount of snow one or two times. First, because it doesn't snow very often by the lake and second, because I didn't use to go out that much during winter.

Lavaux Vineyards

I passed through these vineyards many times. I love it with the autumn colors

Montreux - The Vineyards, The Lake and The Alps

It was at Montreux that I bought most of my postcards of the Lavaux region, when I was already collecting UNESCO sites.
