Caretos at Podence, Macedo de Cavaleiros

My cousin Isabel spent the first half of her vacation in Podence, from where she brought me this postcard.

Colonna Infame, Bari

The same with this column, I didn't see it but loved the postcard

Chiesa di Santa Maria del Buon Consiglio, Bari

These ruins I didn't see, because we didn't spend too much time in Bari, but I liked the postcard

Bari Cathedral

We also went to the cathedral but didn't go in because there was an entrance fee.

Basilica of Saint Nicholas, Bari

We visited the Basilica, where the tomb of Saint Nicholas is located

Bari

The last place we visited was Bari, where we had to catch our flight back.

Miniature replica of Alberobello

This postcard was given to me by a lady at a gift shop where you can see a miniature replica of Alberobello.

Trulli of Alberobello

Alberobello was the last UNESCO site we visited and it really is an unique place!

Roman Theater, Lecce

A major oversight was not seeing the Roman theatre. I saw this postcard, but since the monument wasn't identified, I thought it was also part of the amphitheater and didn't know there was still a theatre there. I should have studied the itinerary better...

San Matteo Church, Lecce

We passed so many churches that I'm not sure if we went by this one, but I remember that in front of another one we ate a typical sweet called Pasticciotto, which is delicious!

Lecce Cathedral

The cathedral is also amazing and despite the heat, the city is quite walkable which is good for seeing all the monuments.

Basilica of the Holy Cross, Lecce

The Basilica of the Holy Cross is probably the most amazing monument of the city

Roman Amphitheater, Lecce

Parts of the Roman amphitheater are covered by other buildings and Piazza Sant'Oronzo

Roman Amphitheater, Lecce

We took a day to visit Lecce, and once again, we were not disappointed.
